The second storm that was predicted passed through the night and it is still raining this morning, but unlike the first storm of Wednesday past, this storm had heavier rain, stronger winds and early this morning, thunder and lightning which are my favorite. One clap of thunder made our home tremble, “thank you Lord for the thunder that is so rare in this valley.”. Thankfully the wind was not strong enough to cause us to lose our power.
Daylight is still an hour away as I write this, but the photo above was taken on a similar morning in 2012 when we had thunder later that day.
Psalm 77:14,17-18 “Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound:….The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.”
