Yesterday I wrote about the gift of rain, and my thoughts on Hurricane Matthew coming to the US. As it happened, last night Vancouver Island and the lower Mainland of BC had its own storm, although not nearly as intense as a hurricane, but intense enough to knock out power to some 50,000 people. The strong wind and rain did not hit until after dark and I would rather see it and listen to it in the day, but off to bed and to sleep and this morning the clouds were just beautiful. There was even a little rainbow off to the west, the sign of God’s covenant to Noah after the flood. By the time I grabbed my camera and was able to photograph it, the rainbow had faded, but you can still see it.
Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth forth his handiwork.”
